Lilly Singh is stepping from YouTube stand-out to host on NBC late-night, replacing Carson Daly.
Singh, 30, announced her new show, “A Little Late With Lilly Singh,” while a guest on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” Thursday.
“I do have an announcement: Your girl is getting her own NBC late-night show,” Singh said. “I do think it’s a little awesome, as an Indian-Canadian woman.”
The show will start in September, slated for the 1:35 a.m. “Last Call with Carson Daly” slot. NBC announced in February that Daly would be stepping down as “Last Call” host after 17 years.
“A Little Late” will be a half-hour program with in-studio guest interviews as well pre-taped comedy sketches and signature segments.

“It will kind of be like my YouTube channel, but now I have more than three staff members,” Singh told Fallon.
Singh’s YouTube channel has more than 14 million subscribers, where she writes, produces and stars in comedic and inspirational videos.
As an actress, she appeared in the HBO drama “Fahrenheit 451,” opposite Michael Shannon and Michael B. Jordan, and in the comedy ”Bad Moms.”
As for the new gig, Singh said in a statement, “I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild.”
